這個形容詞是famous「有名的」反義詞，代表因為不好的事而為人所知；同義詞infamous直接從famous加上in-字首代表否定。而名詞notoriety則將字尾-ious改成-iety字尾。若想要表達因為某種原因而知名，則可以加上介系詞for。
例句》The company is notorious for paying its bills late.（該公司出了名的喜歡拖欠帳單。）
搭配achieve/gain的動詞表達取得、獲得～惡名的概念，同樣可以用for接緣由。
例句》He achieved/gained notoriety for being difficult to work with as an actor.（他獲得了最難合作的演員的惡名。）
to facilitate 促使、促進
動詞facilitate有「促進某件事情的增長」之意，可以直接接受詞。名詞變化facilitation後面改成-tion。另外facilitator字尾-tor代表「人」，有「幫助者、協助者」之意。
例句》The current structure does not facilitate efficient workflow.（當前的體系不利於促進高效的工作流程。）
facilitator為可數名詞，別忘了加上冠詞a或是複數變化。
例句》I see my role as a facilitator, enabling others to work in the way that suits them best.（我認為我的角色是協助他人以最適合他們的方式工作。）
